Part one

I am on a ship
A metal ship
There are random lights and noises
Sometimes loud, sometimes far off
Deep and low against the hull
And a constant hum
I hardly hear anymore.

I think I am a stow away
Though I see no one
No one comes to look for me
I wander the halls lined with wood
Secretly, stealing food
Wires and cables and pipes overhead.

It's been years since
I've seen the sky
The daylight sky that is
Blue with white and water
The same in reverse
Here it's night black as soot
That covers worn gears
Discarded in metal corners.

Traces of the pilot and crew
Are old, who drives this thing
Is unseen I think it drives itself
Otherwise it's endlessly falling
I see no reason to worry
There are no days
Just a constant hum a constant blank sky
Dotted by the afterthought of stars
A constant singularity of
My presence in this ship
I am waiting.
